What We Saw From The Cheap Seats

There aren’t very many bands or musicians that make me explode with happiness when I hear a new album of theirs is coming out soon. Am I old? I’m shaking my fist at you.

So a few months ago I read an article online mentioning Regina Spektor’s new album being released this year and I blew a gasket. Spotify then teased me by putting one of the new tracks on her artist page and quickly took it away as soon as I got addicted to it. I know I could’ve bought the album on iTunes but I use Spotify so much that I waited until the whole album showed up. I’ve got this song on repeat right now…

Ohmygah, seriously you guys. I have a girl-crush on her.

If you loved her craziness on her previous albums: her seal sounds, repetitive syllables, high notes like musical hiccups, lessons in the Russian language, and catchy pop music, you’ll like this album too. Listen to the album then add a few more tracks to the soundtrack of the indie film called your life.

Have you heard this album? Do you have a favorite track?
